ABSTRACTS SUBMISSION FOR THE 2027 ANNUAL MEETING OPENS ON JULY 1, 2026.
ABSTRACT PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS
If you wish to be considered for one of the Special Awards (Resident Research Award, Young Faculty/Practitioner Award, Dr. Eugene N. Myers International Award in Laryngology, Dr. Robert H. Ossoff Post-Graduate Member Best Paper Award, or the Casselberry Award), please review the description of each award to ascertain the first and/or senior author’s eligibility before checking the appropriate box below.
To be considered for the Myers International Award, the first and/or senior author must be from a country outside of Mexico, Canada and the United States. Eligibility for the Post-Graduate Member Best Paper is limited to the Post-Graduate Member who either the first (presenting) author or the senior author.
Should you request your abstract to be considered for the Casselberry Award, one (1) copy of the manuscript must be submitted via email to the Administrator, Maxine Cunningham, by December 1, 2026. The email address is maxine.c@comcast.net.
Once you submit your abstract, you will receive confirmation of acceptance and provided the Unique ID that is a six digit code, i.e., 27-XXXX. Please print and save this confirmation and reference the code in all communication with the ALA Administrator and the Laryngoscope.
Once your abstract has been accepted for podium or poster presentation, you will receive instructions requiring you to submit your manuscript to The Laryngoscope, the ALA Editor, Dr. Ongkasuwan, and the Administrator. It is vital that you adhere to the deadlines as stated in your notification letter.
